The great room boasts a 22-foot high cathedral brick dome ceiling with a gold cupola, flooding the space with sunlight. Enjoy imported furniture from the Philippines, a unique whale’s tail coffee table, grand white pillars, an automatic gas fireplace, and a Bose stereo system.

The large, fully-equipped kitchen includes a side-by-side refrigerator, high-speed halogen cooking center, dishwasher, microwave, drinking water system, and satellite HDTV. The dining area, surrounded by walls of tinted glass, overlooks the beach and sea, providing a stunning backdrop for meals.

The master bedroom features floor-to-ceiling ocean views, a king-size bed, and a cathedral brick dome ceiling. The master bath includes glass block walls, custom cabinetry, and granite countertops. The second main floor bedroom has two queen beds with hand-carved headboards and a custom bathroom. The downstairs Whale bedroom offers a hand-carved king-size bed and a large custom bathroom. The fourth bedroom doubles as a TV center with a memory foam queen-size sofa bed and its own bathroom.

Outside, enjoy a large private upstairs veranda with a gas barbecue, perfect for afternoon relaxation or stargazing. The property also includes a large covered porch, whale mosaic, hot and cold water beach shower, central air/heat, fans in every room, and WiFi.

Please note: No smoking inside, no pets, and a strict maximum occupancy of 8 adults. if this amount of people is exceeded with ought authorization a penalty of $1500 will be applied. Sheets and towels are provided.

  The home and location are amazing. The house is well kept and clean. When we checked in we were informed that we could not have any company and they have cameras installed. If I would have known this ahead of time I would not have stayed there. The reason for our 3-4 trips to Rocky Point a year is because I have family there and the fact that I could not have them over was very disappointing. They said they tried calling me ahead of time to inform me but I never received a call and if they did they should have left a message for something so important. By the time we arrived we could not change our mind the rental was paid and there was no where to go. This information should be posted on the webpage before you make a payment or arrive.

  The home is stunning from the time you walk in the front door and look out the full front wall of glass that over looks the sandy beach with the beautiful Sea of Cortez as the back drop it will take your breath away. You can tell that the owner takes great pride in this home from the wonderful condition inside and out it makes you feel like your are in a private compound. The property was very clean and the owner/ property managers could not of been easier to work with. The people of Las Conchas were friendly and out going we had a large group of people that had never traveled outside of the US and since we have returned home all they can talk about is going back.

  We stayed 5 days the last week in June. I loved the house. Renting was very simple and the staff at Oceano couldn't have been more pleasant. We had 8 people, and the 4 bedroom was perfect. My teenage granddaughter loved having the downstairs space to herself. (The pullout couch was not too comfortable, but can be easily fixed with one of the many quilts for cushioning). The front bedroom never had water pressure or hot water. That may be something to have looked at for future guests. It worked out, as we shared. I would have been happy to mop the floor, but there was no mop, after five days of traffic. Another disappointment was no access to a washer/dryer. Fortunately, I asked prior to renting, so we came prepared, but it would be a nice feature for extended stays. The location to the beach was perfect. Just far enough away to avoid any beach goers and plenty of privacy. I'm disappointed that Las Conchas is now a public beach area. It always offered that unique private vacation experience. We did have a constant flow of people walking down to the beach from the side of the property and parking their cars in front of the house. The guard house is gone, and just one security person sits off to the side. I'm really hoping the homeowners can take a stand on this in the future. We would love to come back to Whale of a Tale. We made some great family memories here. It was the perfect getaway.

  Most everything was great. Very Clean and easy to get keys. Two items - Upper east door handle is broken so we did not use it - also A/C in lower level was not cooling very well. It was very hot outside that is to be expected be thought. Would rent it again in cooler season.

  At check in we had to wait for the key to be delivered to Oceano office. This is a beautiful house, with phenomenal views! Although great views from all the windows, EVERY SINGLE window, door, and even the roof leaked after it rained. The house flooded, and there was no mop for us to clean it. We had to use every towel in the house(and our beach towels) to stop water from coming in, and to mop what had already entered. We had to sweep water off the balcony, because it was pouring into the home. Leak over kitchen counter ruined some of our food, and we had no clean towels for the rest of our trip(no access to laundry). There is a restroom sized trash can for your trash, so bring lots of your own trash bags. Electricity went out almost 3 hours before we were to check out, so we had to clean and pack with no air flow, and we couldn't make breakfast since the stove is electric. When we told Oceano of the problems we had, they did not offer any reimbursement or discounts.Overall the house is gorgeous, but a number of inconveniences made it not worth the price we paid.

  This house was so enormous & beautiful. The only thing was, it says it’s a 4 bedroom but the 4th bedroom is a sitting room down stairs that has a door & own bathroom with sofas that you can use a pull out bed. Other then that it was so nice. It was probably one of the nicest places we have stayed at. We will for sure rent this house again. Also it did take them a few weeks to return our deposit.

  We love this vacation rental. This was our third time staying at this home. The dining area and main living area have gorgeous views. The beach area can't be beat. The property management really should have the wi-fi instructions at the house so you don't have to call and get them. The mattresses aren't the most comfortable and bedding could be updateda That being said we always love our time here and Pete has the best breakfast burritos and homemade tortillas.

  Our stay was great. The house is nice and spacious. The kitchen is big and the dinning room table has great views of the ocean. The top patio is great as well and you can see the dolphins in the morning. With no wifi I wouldn't stay longer than a long weekend since I would not be able to stay connected to work. Overall fun stay at a place that is right on the beach, easy to get to and close to town.

  Overall we had a great vacation. The Good: 3 bedrooms with own bathroom; fourth "bedroom" had fold-out couch (not so good) but also had its own bathroom; great views, huge entry and living room area, mostly well-equipped kitchen, nice dining area with beautiful views, clean, beach front, heating worked great (on cold nights)-
  Not so good: overall "dated" furnishings; living room huge but not very user friendly (had a tile "coffee table" in shape of tale of whale; very nice but not very practical); not sufficient kitchen counter space; only one large TV in the 4th bedroom with not sufficient seating; most linens (sheets, pillows, etc) need replacements; no mop! One night it rained pretty hard and water seeped in various areas and had nothing to mop with-contacted Oceano via phone call and email (no answer on either one), had to use bath towels. Wi-fi available but weak; had to call Oceano to get password info (should be available upon arrival).
  
  Overall, I would recommend to a friend, but with reservations. I believe that there are probably better properties for the price in Las Conchas.

  We stayed for 4 nights with three adults and three kids. The home was clean and in good condition. Unfortunately we discovered when we arrived we did not have access to the washer and dryer, and there was no WiFi. This is something we were accustomed to with other rentals in the area. Otherwise the stay went well, and the office was nice enough to give us a fresh set of towels after a couple nights.

  We really liked the house and we are sure coming back next year! I read the reviews and was kind of scared of people said, but the beach is not that far from the house, yeah you have to walk a little bit to get down to the beach it was not a problem! The "4th room" with the sofa bed was not as bad, the people who slept there didn't complain about it at all, plus the view is awesome to weak up too. The property was clean, we always had water even tho they warned us about. It did have a good sound system but i would off wished it was upgraded to connect a an AUX cable or connect through bluetooth. But other then that we loved the location and the house! We are sure coming back pretty soon!

  The rental was nice. It was clean and it accommodated our party. The issue is that I have not received my deposit back. We rented in June 2016 and we were told our deposit would be refunded within 2 weeks. I called Oceano the beginning of August and spoke to Jose who said he would release my deposit $250 and it should be in my account within 5 business days. We are now in the month of September and still no deposit. I have called Oceano Beach Home Rentals and their phone rings without any answer. I'm shocked that I have to chase my deposit when this has never happened before. I hope to hear from Oceano soon and they refund my deposit since we left the home clean and kept our end of the bargain. I know they have had a number of staff changes and I hope this was an error since we have had great experiences in the past renting from Oceano.
