Beachcomber

Beachcomber is a large three bedroom, three bath home with many extras. The master suite faces the ocean and has private patio access, a king bed, decorative fireplace, and private bath with double sink, large shower with benches and two shower heads. The second bedroom, also on the ocean side, has two double beds and a TV/VCR. The third bedroom has a queen bed and is situated next to the second bathroom that has a large walk-in shower. The spacious great room features a fabulous view of the Sea of Cortez, has a wet bar with sink and full size refrigerator, a decorative fireplace, lots of seating, Satellite TV, CD and Wireless internet. An unusual feature of this house is its separate dining room with ample room for all eight guests. Next to the dining room is the kitchen which is fully equipped with all major appliances including a dishwasher, garbage disposal, food preparation island with sink and disposal, coffee maker, blender, microwave, toaster and another eating area. Adjacent to the kitchen is a game room with a TV/VCR. Outside amenities include a very large covered porch with lots of furniture and a charcoal barbeque (bring own charcoal). Above this area is an upper level sun deck, which is accessible from the outside of the house, and it also has furniture. Other comforts include central heat/AC, an outside shower, and fans in all the rooms. Owner requests No Smoking Inside and Pets allowed upon approval, pet fee is $75 USD per pet. Sheets and one set of bath towels are provided.

  Plenty of room fro 4 male quests. Location was fine . House was clean with plenty of kitchen utensils, pots and pans, etc. Dry bar area was a real bonus.Oceano staff were great. The big negatives were a burned out water pump that was not fixed when notified, it was only “Gerry rigged “. We had no television for the first 2 days and when maintenance came out to activate it all we got was all Mexicanstations except one free m England.   The home was nice, clean and spacious. There was plenty of room for a family of eight. It would have been alot nicer if the property had a washer and dryer to wash our clothing. We also looked for simple cleaning supplies such as a broom or small vacuum to sweep the sand off the floors. We had to buy soap and towels to wash dishes on a daily basis as we like to keep house clean during our stay. Overall the house is big and beautiful with more than enough room for eight people. Having a garage was also nice, we were able to secure our vehicles during our stay. Overall this property was superb. Maybe next time the property will have basic cleaning essentials to maintain a clean and tidy environment.

  We've never rented from Oceano and will do so again! The staff was fantastic with great communications. The property is ideally located and we found it to be clean. Our ONLY issue was the outside furniture. We read that the upstairs Margarita Deck had ample seating and found 1 rickety lounge chair. On the main veranda, the chairs were all plastic??? Also, water in the master shower had no pressure.

  We had so much fun. Was doubtful about renting at the end of September but the water was so awesome-warm, beautiful weather. House is so nicely decorated. Did have to learn how to cook on electric stove, prefer gas. Plenty of room. Did end up buying extra cooking pans as only had frying pans ( bacon, eggs) and left them for the next visitor. Same goes for a broom, mop and a bucket as I like it clean. Bought a big fan for outside ( left it as well) it was a life savior for flies during the day and mosquitos we had only for 2 nights. Beautiful view. The place was nice and clean so we left it as found. The outside grill didn’t work well for us so we bought a big grill and used it every night. On the photos it seemed like there was a bigger grill?

  Overall we were pleased with the Beachcomber for the cost. It was larger than we thought it would be and overall in pretty good condition. I liked that it was right by the guard shack so it is one of the closest homes in Las Conchas to town. The furniture seems to have been updated recently in the family room, other guests had mentioned that needed to be done. Also, no issues with the water pressure in the showers or hot water issues or dishwater issues. We did have a handful of ants one time but we were prepared with spray and didn’t have any more issues. There were only 2 areas that I would caution future renters about. One – the kitchen did not have ‘the basics’ that I normally find when renting in Las Conchas. Not cutting board, cleaning supplies, Tupperware, etc. I did call the office and they brought a broom by – the rest of the supplies I had to buy on my own which, in my opinion, should be included. The other is the location / beach which obviously the owner has no control over. When the tide anything but high tide, there are a ton of rocks / coral on the beach that are very sharp and makes getting in and out of the water very difficult. We ended up driving further into las conchas (section 12/13) as the beaches there are much safer. All that said, you are still getting a great deal at the given rate.

  We love Las Conchas and have always used Oceano rentals. Beachcomber was perfect for our large group and loved walking right out onto the beach. The 2 decks were the best part. One up top with awesome views and the completely covered botttom one to get some shade. This house Is right in front of the rocks so not much swimming, boogie boarding unless you got past them and went further out but kids found tons of sea life!

  This was the first stay at this house. It is a very large house. The patio is very spacious. There are a few issues that require some attention. The biggest is that we were unable to get hot water from any faucet. The water pressure in the kitchen made it very difficult to wash dishes. Showering was resorted to very quick cold ones. The other issue was easier to resolve, there were large amounts of ants and coach roaches. I had read reviews prior to our visit so we were prepared for the ants. Honestly I would not stay at this house again, unless there is some resolution to the hot water issue.

Kitchen was well-appointed with large numbers of dishes, pans, cutlery, etc. Three large sinks, extra counter space with the big island. Separate dining room great for large dinners as well as a game table. Bathrooms and bedrooms as pictured in the ads - very roomy master bedroom/bathroom. The patio was spectacular - huge and covered with a margarita deck above; great views of sunrises and sunsets - saw dolphins and many types of birds. Very close to the water, just a few steps to the sand. Received a mid-week change of bed linens and fresh towels.

We love that you got rid of the small one in the bar area and added the beer drop in. Cable is way too confusing, couldn't get the TV's working to be able to watch cable. The house could use a new paint job. Would love if you had some ant spray left under each sink as they were in the bathrooms and kitchen. We loved the new decor since our last visit, much more modern.

  We very much enjoyed our experience at Beachcomber. It is probably the best home we've stayed in at Rocky Point. Right away, we decided this would be our permanent rental home. We had only 2 disappointments: the showers are the worst we've experienced as far as pressure goes; and the beach was the rockiest we've experienced to the point that it's dangerous to go in the water if it's not high tide.   This is the 2nd time we've stayed at the Beachcomber in the beautiful Las Conchas community and both times can only be described as magical. The home is older but is quite large and has been nicely updated. It just has this warm, homey, mexico-feel to it. The Wi-Fi didn't work which was a little disappointing but we survived without it. The best part in my opinion is the gorgeous, large patio just feet from the ocean. We witnessed the most fantastic sunrises and sunsets from it, barbequed and ate there, and watched the ocean turn from dark gray, to green to varying shades of turquoise with the changes in sunlight and weather conditions. The last day we were there it was quite windy which caused the sea to churn wildly (love it when it looks like that). In doing so, it stirred up and deposited this beautiful sea foam that lined the shore and we watched as the wind tore chunks of the seafoam away from the larger pieces and blew the fluffy seafoam "snow balls" all over the beach. Never saw that before. Just beautiful.

  I stayed here over spring break with friends and this place is huge. It says it sleeps 8 but there's utensils/plates/cups for probably 15 people. There were plenty of pillows/blankets, room for parking and it was easy to find. We had some issues with water but Oceano came and fixed it as soon as I called. The only bummer about the place is the beach is really rocky, just a mile down Las Conchas the beach is really sandy and much nicer.

  The Beachcomber is our go-to for every trip to Puerto Penasco. It's like our second home. The covered back patio overlooking the beach is huge and if you want to sun just head to the rooftop patio.   when we arrived, both refrigerators were not working, one bathroom sink was clogged and some lights were not working. we called and the problems were quickly solved. we encountered other problems, some minor. 2 of the 3 showers were not working properly. only 2 extra trash bags were provided for the kitchen trash can and access to a broom would have been nice since there was sand everywhere. other than that, we all had a great time with friends and family. :)

  We loved the Beachcomber!! It was everything we were hoping for, plus more! It was very clean upon arrival and everything was in working order. The house is very large and has all the comforts of home. We are definitely planning on coming back.

  We only had time to come down for a day trip to Las Conchas, and Oceano was extremely accommodating. Beachcomber is a huge rental that easily handled our two small families (4 adults and 2 small children). The view was amazing, especially at sunset. The deck above the patio was awesome for viewing the stars.
