This casita features an ocean view and has 2 bedrooms and 2 baths.--The master bedroom has a queen bed and bath; the other has twin beds. The kitchen is fully equipped including a Keurig (just be sure to bring your own Kcups!). blender, toaster and microwave. Other amenities include TV/DVD with satellite, radio, central heating and cooling, fans in all rooms, and a large front deck with patio furniture. In addition, guests have access to a gas barbecue and outside shower, a beautiful view of the Sea of Cortez and parking for 2 cars.

  Hey, we've been coming to Rocky Point for years and we love this cozy casita. It's just a short walk to the beach, and the property is fenced all around. There's a large patio where you can enjoy the beautiful view of the Sea of Cortez. We even saw dolphins swimming by! We brought our dogs with us, and it was great that the property had a fence. The beach has some rocky areas, so bring swimming shoes and watch for the sea tide. It's much easier to swim when the water comes closer to the beach, so you have a sandy floor instead of a rocky one. The price and location of the casita were great. We'll definitely be back! We did give a few suggestions to the management company. Everything worked great while we were there, but there are just a few minor updates that need to be done.

  Great location and perfect for our little doggies , fenced yard . The people at Océano rentals were super helpful in getting us in . Unfortunately the a/c died and they had their maintenance man there within the hour . We were immediately upgraded to a beachfront property close by as a/c unit needed to be replaced .   For our review, we must provide both our positive experiences with the Casita de Paz rented from Vrbo, as well as a few thoughts on the property itself and one unbelievably terrible experience.
  Positive: The property was genuinely nice. We were comfortable and it had everything that we had hoped for in a two-bedroom two-bath home. We had a slight problem with the air conditioner, however, when we called the Oceano office, they sent a technician immediately and it was resolved. The highlight of this property is clearly the deck, which is wonderful with an awesome view. It has an outside shower, a private path to the beach, and good deck furniture. The proximity to town is also an advantage. There is a small convenience store within walking distance, as well as a casual restaurant/bar. Perhaps most important for some renters is that the cost of this property is very reasonable.
  Suggestions: The property is a bit dated (for some people, this may be part of the charm, however, freshening up would be wise). The drapes are tattered, and the main window only has two panels (instead of three), which only covered part of the main window. This means you do have a lack of privacy.
  Terrible experience: My phone was stolen from the Casita deck area on May 14, 2024, sometime before 6:23 P.M. With my wife’s “find my phone software,” we tracked my phone to a home seven homes away. Las Conchas’ security was unable to help us gain access, as the owners were not present. Security told us that the Police would not get involved in this kind of minor theft.
  Upon leaving Mexico, the thief attempted to purchase items with our Amazon account to be shipped to an address in Puerto Penasco. They gave a shipping name of Miguel Gomez, with an address to Venustiano Carranza entre 25 y 26, Puerto Penasco, Sonora 83550, and a phone number of 638-116-1044. We were able to cancel the order using my wife’s phone, and, subsequently, an order for a

  We had a great time at the Casita de first blush when we arrived we were a bit disappointed that it's not really obvious from the photo's and marketing that it is NOT directly beachfront, it's behind the house in front but still will a nice view and dedicated path to the beach.   My only negative feedback would be:
  - Lack of dishwasher
  - Lack of counter space. The kitchen is pretty tiny and there is no real "living room".

  Property needs a little attention,a bit of crumbling concrete and missing tile. The only door in or out of the Casita (sliding door) was so difficult my wife couldn't operate it. Slider screen fell off onto the patio. No broom to clean up tracked in sand. No beach towels as offered for use and purchase. No dish cloth or sponge for doing dishes. These items may seem trivial but were a bit inconvenient.
  Very comfortable bed and brite white sheets and towels. Plenty of hot water was enjoyable.

  The house was lovely and so was the beach! My nephew had never been to Mexico so when he walked through the gates to the house he was awestruck by the beauty. Everything was clean and the staff over at Oceana Realty office were wonderful. I needed to have something printed and scanned and they took care of it for me in a quick minute. They were just absolutely lovely. We couldn’t have asked for a better time. We came down to celebrate my nephews 19th birthday and he said it was the best birthday he had ever had!! I would highly recommend this property and this company to rent a place in Mexico from. Thank you for such lovely accommodations!!! Oh, and we barely even felt the effects of COVID. Although, the real estate office and pretty much everyone in Rocky Pointe was diligent about masks, sanitizer, checking temperatures and being very cautious.

  We love this place. The stove top has problems with some burners not working well. And the fridge was tepid and we lost some food. There are so many rocks at the beachfront that you have to walk down the beach to swim for safety reasons - even when the tide is high, but makes for great snorkeling.

  This place was absolutely perfect for my husband and 18 month old son as well as myself. Walking distance to the beach on our private pathway and a spectacular porch to spend our evenings on. The place could use some much needed T.L.C.,like a new screen door, stove & fridge, small leak in roof in master bedroom, some new linens would go a long way as well. The stove was a bit of a hazard; it literally was shocking us as we tried cooking pasta on the stove which is not the safest thing for guests, and could harm someone so please keep this in mind, but other than this we truly loved this rental!   Overall, the Casita we stayed in was very nice. If afforded easy access to the beach, was very scenic and well situated, and provided a nice place to stay. The only criticism we have is the internet did not work the entire time. We paid a lot in fees to stay at this accommodation and would like to have had functioning internet during our stay. It was not to be. Aside from the none functioning internet (why I only give some ratings three stars), it was a very good accomodation.

  We were down for two nights: a Thursday and a Friday. Met the owner and enjoyed a brief chat.
  
  The place is comfortably furnished and appointed. The patio has a good ocean view and is a great place to spend some time.
  
  Some Kitchen supplies were not available as in other places: no sugar or paper towels were available and had to be purchased.
  
  The DirecTV was inoperable. Not a big deal.

  It was nice. ran into some strong winds, blowing sands and soft dirt but the 1100 mile round trip bike ride was great, the Lord rode with us!
  The toilet flapper chain broke but we did not call it in. The TV had issues but we called and the handyman got it taken care of. We did have some issues with the old coffee pot overflowing. Maybe it needs to be cleaned with water/vinegar or just get a new one, they are cheap. My 2nd time there and we will probably make it 3 next year. Thank you

  Beautiful and wonderful! But this place is close to the water and the rocks and coral are a challenge to navigate and swim even in the highest of tides. That was the only drawback, I had to go down the beach to swim at times.

  Just a long weekend. I read reviews and wonder if they are doctored....not on this Casita. Plenty of room for 4 and a great view. The kitchen is small if you plan to visit the fish markets and like your own cooking. The rocks are fun for exploring but no beach for the kids and swimming. The Spring-breakers had taken the harbor area by storm. We are quite people and liked the privacy of our walled compound. Pretty place. They clean everything, so take everything you would need if planning home meals. We will be back.

  Casita was lovely and a perfect size for 3 girlfriends. Kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to fix small meals and snacks. Bathrooms had beautiful tile work and stained glass and each had 2 sets of clean towels. Water pressure is great. The extended patio and view were shady and exceptional. You can walk right out the gate onto the sand and wash off in the outdoor shower when you're done. We had one maintenance issue with a plugged toilet and Oceano sent someone out within 40 minutes to fix it.
  
  Pros: perfect location, safe, quiet, nice view, good tidepooling and shell collecting area, responsive rental company, great price, a/c and ceiling fans work wonderfully to cool the casita off, great selection of patio chairs
  
  Cons: some minor repair work should be done (especially to broken tiles and loose door knobs), curtains were old and would look much better replaced with blinds, spotty WiFi (expected in this area), beach is very rocky here - can swim a little only at the highest tide, beds are sleepable but pretty firm, lounge chairs not very comfortable
  
  We would definitely rent here again and recommend it to others.

  First I want to say there were ants. We could not but anything on the counter even to cook. Although there was very nice dishes and pots/pans the cooking utensils are in need of replacement. Bed is hard. Stove top out of 4 burners only 2 worked (sometimes). The place was clean however. This is my 2nd time staying here. I do not think I will be back.

The only bad thing I can say is this property is on the Rockey end of the beach the water never covered the rocks not even at high tide so other then that we loved the casita just next time we will rent something further south where the beach is sandy !   My partner, a friend and I had a great time at Casa de la Paz! We enjoyed being right on the beach. The house was perfect. We bought seafood two nights from the fish markets and had sea food feasts made in the kitchen and on the outside grill. The AC kept it comfortable dispite the heat. The house was clean and comfortable. Great view from the patio. Relaxing. The management was excellent. There was a problem with the shower head and they fixed it that day. The house ran out of water. Within hours the truck was there to fill the tank. Recommend this place to anyone looking for a great retreat.

  Casita de Paz is a great little guest house on a larger property. It is behind the main beach front property, but the shared yard is great, there is a huge patio, and you can still see and step easily to the shore. The amount of space was perfect for the two of us (perhaps too much, since we didn't even go in the second bedroom). The bedroom was very comfortable. The location is very close to the entrance to Las Conchas, with easy access. We went into town for food and shopping a few times a day and swam and lounged around on the beach the rest of the time.

  Our stay was great. The weather was so cold. Didn't get to spend any time at the beach. If you rent this house, make sure you turn on the water heater. We went a day and half with no showers because we didn't know this had to be done. The location is kind of far away from the Fish Market. Since we wanted to drink we didn't want to drive so we had to get a taxi at $20 a time to take us there.

We would recommend a better repair on the sliding glass door as the lock slipped and we were locked out for about 30 minutes until the guard located someone with a key to let us in.   Casita De Paz overall was nice but when we arrived the stove was broken, which was huge factor for us in deciding to book this place. We went down to the property management office and they said they would come before 5PM that day to fix the stove an open a bathroom door that was accidentally locked with our things inside. We went out to town and came back at 5 after 5. Nothing was fixed. I went back to the office and they were closed.
  Eventually we got the bathroom open ourselves, and the stove was never fixed. I mentioned it at check out and they promised a discount at the next booking which, for me may be a very long time.
  Aside from the above mentioned issues we had a very nice, easy stay.

  We had a wonderful time at this beautiful place. A/C, Wifi, amenities all great. We had a hard time finding the house number in the evening, but it is easy to get to Las Conchas otherwise. We would recommend this wholeheartedly and Oscar at Oceano was extremely helpful with recommendations, places to purchase local fish, etc. The beach directly in front of the house was extremely rocky and good for looking at tidal pools, not swimming, but a few miles further down in Las Conchas there is just sand and tons of access to the beaches.
