Mi Paraiso

Mi Paraiso is a three bedroom, 3 bath beach front house with the master bedroom suite, facing the ocean, and it has a king bed and private bath. The second bedroom has a queen bed. The third bedroom has a king bed with its own private bath. The living area has a wood burning fireplace (bring own wood or fire logs), DVD/VCR , Flat screen Satellite TV, stereo/CD/Ipod connect. The kitchen is fully equipped with electric stove, microwave, blender, and coffee maker. Other amenities include mini-split wall AC units, ceiling fans, breakfast bar, and outside shower. Sheets and towels provided. Owner requests No Smoking Inside; No Pets.

  The property was great for 3 couples. It was clean, had nice furniture and plenty of cooking equipment. We liked that each couple had their own bathroom. Even though a garage is shown in the photos, it is not part of the rental. There were a couple of safety issues. A 2 inch steep up into the kitchen made for a few stubbed toes and the yucca tree just inside the front gate is over grown and the spines will rip into you as you pass by it if you're not careful. All in all this was a wonderful property and we would stay there again.

  The house is a pleasant place to spend a few days. But for the price I was disappointed in the following maintenance issues:
  
  1. Satellite TV system did not work, mainly because a single coaxial cable was broken and needs replaced. Easily fixed but I wasn't going to do it.
  2. Gas grill is broken because the intake hose leaks. Very dangerous and also makes the grill inoperable. Easily fixed but I wasn't going to do it.
  3. Garage disposal doesn't work.
  4. Porch is hot and doesn't offer a lot of protection from the sun.
  5. Windows and sliding doors need to be cleaned and oiled. They make the most horrific noise when opened and closed.
  6. Better lighting and mirror in master bath please.
  7. No door knob on the front door. Really? How hard is that to fix?
  
  Things I liked:
  1. It's on the beach.
  2. Sleeps a ton of people is you want.
  3. You can still use the grill...just put charcoal in it.
  4. Kitchen is big and spacious.
  5. Living area is big and spacious.
  6. Place was clean on arrival.
  7. Bed was comfy.

  Basically it was great,the home was big enough to accommodate 5 people comfortably. The location was great, the view spectacular, the staff in the guardhouse,polite ,helpful ,friendly. The home fairly clean but needs work . The window shades and drapes all need to be replaced. Sad when you can't enjoy the view because the blinds are hanging crooked and stuck halfway down the picture window and the cords are broken on the drapes. Half of the lights do not work .The plumbing needs updates, toilets don't work well. Called twice for towels and ended up driving to the office to get them.

  The rental property itself was not as described. We were told that the two main bedrooms were ocean front view. Only one was ocean front and that was not even an ocean view. The other main bedroom was a casita type and claustrophobic. The smaller bedroom had a bad smell. The house leaked all over the place when it rained and floors got wet with the rain storm. The grill did not work nor was the propane tank filled when we arrived. The grill did not work until the day before we left so we could not BBQ until last day. Bugs came in through the defective door in the front bedroom.

  The property is great! We were a group of 7 and we were comfortable. The pictures on the website are old. The kitchen has been updated with granite countertops and beautiful cabinets. The house has plenty of space and includes a sofa bed. The only downside we found was that the AC unit in the mother-in-law bedroom did not cool well. But, we would definitely stay in this house again.
